Day Two...

Today was day two of the 4 day anti-bloat diet... I can't say I was hungry but I can't say it was very satisfying either. Breakfast was ok... cereal, skim milk with sunflower seeds and pineapple tidbits but lunch was tuna (I hate tuna) and steamed carrots. I did make an awesome dinner of brown rice, cremini mushrooms sauted in olive oil and soy sauce spread over 3 oz. of grilled turkey breast. Very tastey indeed! I haven't had my blueberry smoothie yet so that will be my after dinner snack. I'm off right now to an agility training session with my 6 year old English Cocker, Cassie. She never needs to diet! Agility rules!

p.s. the scale was kind this morning... down 1.5 pounds which is supposed to be water loss
hope it holds tomorrow!

Day One... almost done

Why is it so hard to shed the pounds with each year older we get?

So I turned 61 last April and am looking at 62 in a few months. Over the past decade an additional 10 pounds has creeped into my life. Last winter I fell while skiing and injured my shoulder. Now, almost a year later, the injury has created havoc with my workout routine. As a result I feel bloated and totally discouraged with my weight. But I am determined to lose 20 pounds by my birthday on April 6th. So here's what I'm doing... Today was day one of the flat belly diet. Getting through the 4 day anti-bloat part is the hardest. It's 6:15 p.m. and I just had the meager dinner that is allowed. Now I'm off to the gym because a shoulder injury really is not excuse for not doing cardio, right? Anyway I'm going to keep track of progress and setbacks through this blog. Would love comments...
